Convenience is the byline of modern technology. Each new process or product that is pioneered aims to be more efficient, more convenient, and in all ways better than its predecessors. Every day, the manufacturing and information technology industries come up with new gadgets designed to outclass the current trends in the market. Technology is constantly evolving, but some technological breakthroughs are bound to last because of their influence on how future gadgets will be conceived. One such technological breakthrough is called Bluetooth. Originally designed as an experimental wireless protocol, Bluetooth rose from obscurity in the 90’s as a protocol designed not only for wireless but universal communication. It is now the universally accepted communication protocol for a wide array of gadgets. Bluetooth is supported by modern printers, cell phones, desktop and laptop computers, and even gaming consoles. You no longer have to go to a programmer to decode and encode a file from the cell phone in order to transfer it to a computer. Bluetooth-enabled cell phones are able to transmit any file, whether it be music, pictures, or video, into Bluetooth-enabled computers. Bluetooth eliminates the hassle of connecting wires and fiddling port adapters in order to connect one device to another.
